No two of us are the same. Yet societal constructs diminish us into two binaries: man/woman, bad/good, gay/straight, old/young, thin/fat, smart/stupid, and on and on. What if we are all non-binary? ...but inherently many different gradations between these binaries? What if no two binaries fit? Comfort in our own skins is likely found through embracing the “shades of gray”—these shimmering diverse facets of our souls. Joy is less black-and-white thinking.
